Training Course – KA153

Promoting Diversity and Tolerance through Media and Information Literacy

About the project

Associazione Spazio Etneo is proud to have participated as a partner in the Training Course “Promoting Diversity and Tolerance Through Media and Information Literacy Vol. 2”, coordinated by the NGO TRANSFORMATION Österreich 🇦🇹 under the Erasmus+ Programme – Key Action 1. Building on the success of the first edition of the project, the second volume aims to further empower youth workers to use media as a powerful tool to address social exclusion and discrimination. The primary goal of this project is to enhance the competencies of youth workers in using advanced media tools and strategies to promote diversity, foster tolerance, and build socially inclusive communities.

📅 The training took place from 12 to 20 October 2025 in Rettenegg, Austria, bringing together 27 youth workers from 9 different countries, committed to strengthening inclusion through media awareness, creative communication tools, and innovative youth work practices.

🇮🇹 Our Italian team — Diletta, Caterina and Angelo — joined with strong motivation and curiosity, actively contributing to discussions, workshops, and group activities. Throughout the week, they explored key topics such as media influence, discrimination, and social exclusion, gaining new insights into how communication can promote inclusion and tolerance. Their dedication, creativity, and openness added value to the group dynamic and contributed to a positive learning environment.

💡 The course applied a variety of non-formal education methods, including media analysis, creative workshops, group discussions, experiential activities, and collaborative content creation. These approaches encouraged participants to reflect on media habits, challenge biases, and develop messages that foster inclusion and respect.
