Digi Detox

Associazione Spazio Etneo is proud to have taken part as a partner in the Erasmus+ training course “Digi Detox”, organized by the Bulgarian organization Way of Thracians. This initiative, developed in collaboration with eight partner countries under the Erasmus+ Programme – Key Action 1, focused on a growing concern of our time: the overuse of digital devices and the importance of consciously disconnecting.

📅 The training took place from 12 to 20 June 2025, in Pernik, Bulgaria, bringing together youth workers from across Europe to reflect on the impact of constant digital connectivity on mental health, attention, social relationships, and everyday well-being.

🇮🇹 We are proud of our Italian participants – Giorgio, Daniele e Veronica – who took part with energy, openness, and curiosity. Throughout the week, they explored the concept of digital detox — learning how to reduce screen time, reconnect with the present moment, and cultivate healthier habits in both personal and social life. They also had the opportunity to share Italian traditions during the intercultural evening, strengthening bonds and creating new friendships with fellow participants from different countries.

📱 The course was built around non-formal education methodologies, including experiential activities, group discussions, creative workshops, and simulations. These approaches allowed participants to question their digital routines, recognize the signs of digital overload, and discover practical strategies to regain balance between online and offline life. By stepping away from screens and engaging in mindful, face-to-face interactions, participants experienced the benefits of slowing down, being present, and rebuilding real human connection.
