YOUTH EXCHANGE – KA152

Active minds, Happy lives

About the project

Associazione Spazio Etneo is proud to have been part of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Active Minds – Happy Lives”, which took place from 9 to 16 September 2026 in Grudziądz, Poland 🇵🇱 . The project was coordinated by Stowarzyszenie Młodych and brought together young people from Italy, Poland, Greece to explore how physical activity, sport and new experiences can support young people in developing a healthier and more active lifestyle.

💪 At a time when young people are increasingly exposed to sedentary habits, digital overload and stress, the project offered participants the opportunity to reflect on the connection between physical and mental wellbeing and on the role of sport in everyday life.

🌍 33 Young people came together in a natural setting of lakes and forests to share experiences, traditions and perspectives on active and healthy living. Through a wide range of activities, they explored topics such as healthy lifestyles, physical activity, sport cultures, self-esteem, teamwork and intercultural dialogue.

🇮🇹 The Italian group from Spazio Etneo (Barbara, Filippo, Andrea, Gabriele, Alessia, Sofia, Giuseppe, Rosario, Ilenia e Francesca) took part with great enthusiasm and a strong team spirit, actively contributing to workshops, sports activities, energizers and intercultural evenings. During the week, participants engaged in beach volleyball, football, tennis, padel and kayaking, took part in a volunteering activity at a local sports event, and shared their culture and traditions with the other national groups. Along the way they strengthened their teamwork, communication and self-confidence and built new connections across Europe.

🏅 The activities were based on non-formal education methodologies, combining interactive workshops, group work, sports and outdoor activities, volunteering and intercultural learning. Participants reflected on their daily habits, identified new ways to integrate physical activity into their lives and explored how sport can foster dialogue and cooperation between cultures. The programme also included sessions on Youthpass, helping participants recognise their learning outcomes and discover useful opportunities within the European context.

Main Objectives

The main objective of this project is to encourage young people to adopt a more active and healthier lifestyle, to promote intercultural dialogue and cooperation through joint physical activity, and to strengthen self-confidence and self-esteem among youth.
