Sport for Skills:
Building the Future Together

Associazione Spazio Etneo is proud to have taken part as a partner in the youth exchange “Sport for Skills: Building the Future Together” took place from 9 to 16 January 2026 in Sorgun, Yozgat (Turkey) 🇹🇷. The project was organized by Sorgun Youth Association (@sorged) within the Erasmus+ KA1 Programme in collaboration with other 4 partner from Europe.

🏃 The project used sport as an educational tool, not just as a physical activity but as a learning tool to develop key skills. Through team games, outdoor activities, and green sports workshops, participants worked on environmental sustainability, active citizenship, social inclusion, and personal awareness.

👥 30 young people from five European countries participated in the exchange, working together in an intercultural context to strengthen skills such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, empathy, and collaborative thinking, with a particular focus on young people with fewer opportunities.

🇮🇹 The Italian group, composed of Lucia, Kevin, Rita, Gregorio, Noah, and Daniele, participated with enthusiasm and energy, actively contributing to the sports activities and group reflection sessions. Throughout the week, the Italian participants shared ideas, values, and best practices, representing Italy at the intercultural evening.

🏐 The activities were based on non-formal education methodologies, combining sports, experiential learning, and digital tools. This approach allowed participants to promote sustainable behaviors, develop digital skills with social impact, and strengthen a sense of solidarity and tolerance between different cultures. The program concluded with the awarding of a Youthpass certificate to all participants.
